We have re-written our popular Revision Guide for GCSE Applied Science (Double Award) for the 2006 specifications. We have created three different versions - one each for AQA, OCR and WJEC.

Practical Physics at Work - now available

4science has produced a multi-media resource, Practical Physics at Work, for the Institute of Physics. It contains practical activities suitable for 14-16 year olds studying in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. These are supported by video sequences showing how some people use physics in the jobs they do.

Advancing Applied Science

The Nuffield Curriculum Centre and 4science are collaborating to support advanced level courses in applied science. As part of this initiative we are working in partnership with three regional Science Learning Centres to establish effective networks of support among teachers GCE Applied Science.

Why offer Applied Science at Key Stage 4?

There has been a lot of misleading press regarding the 2006 science specifications. This piece sets the record straight: Applied science courses can meet the needs of all students regardless of ability and progresion routes.
