Products :: advanced applied science

This 4science resource supports GCE AS level applied science.

The resource covers all AS units. By following the Portfolio activities, students can meet all the assessment requirements of the internally assessed units. The Supporting activities provide practical and investigative activities which reinforce the learning requirements for the externally assessed units.

These are customised for AQA and OCR. For A2 units click here.

Within the resource, there are student activities specific to each Unit. Each activity has:

  1. Front Sheet - which gives the appropriate specification links
  2. Introduction - which links the activity to the workplace
  3. Briefing - describing the nature of the activity
  4. Standard Procedure - (there may be several of these attached to an activity)
  5. Technique - (these will be attached to an activity, when required)
  6. Teaching Guidance
  7. Technical Information

The examples in the sample pages (link at top of page) are drawn from various activities so you can see the breadth of this resource. This is all supplied as high quality photocopiable masters on sturdy paper, to withstand multiple uses. Each Unit will be wire bound so you can keep the materials together easily yet be able to place them comfortably on a photocopier platen. With each pack there is a CD-ROM of the materials.

Full-colour Revision guides to help students prepare for the examinations are also available.
