Take your students to the National Gallery without leaving your laboratory …

This multi-media resource shows films at ten locations, from the National Gallery to Rolls Royce, bringing industry to your classroom. Students can watch scientists in a variety of science-based employment – and then carry out practical activities that link their work to the real thing. There are prompts, questions and downloadable classroom activities.

The downloadable activities – together with the answers – are also supplied as printed, photocopiable, spiral bound masters, and are accompanied by a full-colour book with introductions to the locations, links to specifications, teaching ideas and technical guidance.

The resource, sponsored by the Gatsby Science Enhancement Programme and the Nuffield Curriculum Centre, supports all September 2006 Applied Science specifications.
